The 1st Annual Renaissance City-Shoals Invitational Marching Band Festival & Competition
Greetings all Band Directors:
The Florence High School Marching Band and the FHS Band Boosters are proud to announce the 1st Annual Renaissance City-Shoals Invitational Marching Band Festival & Competition coming up on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Braly Stadium in Florence, Alabama. This promises to be one of the premier marching band competitions of the year and we are looking forward to having your group be part of the event. Please see the enclosed material for more details on getting your band registered for the festival. The fee is only $100 if registered by September 1and $125 if registered after September 1.
Braly stadium is the location of the NCAA Division II Football National Championship Game each year and provides an excellent venue for this year's competition. Seating capacity is over 14,900 and the video platform in the press box is approximately 150 feet above the marching surface. Each band that performs in the event will receive a complimentary DVD of the overhead shot from the press box. Additionally, a professionally mastered, 3 camera production of each group, and the entire event will be available for purchase. The Florence High School BIG BLUE Falcon Marching Band and the University of North Alabama Pride of Dixie Marching Band will be performing in exhibition with a special Patriotic Tribute that is sure to leave everyone in awe.
The commemorative program for the event will feature a group information along with a short biography.
There will be a full complement of vendors on site providing shirts, photos, and other novelty items for purchase. The FHS Band Boosters will be on hand providing their world famous concession menu featuring grilled burgers, hot dogs, and chicken.
